Professional DJ equipment is very different than consumer CD players and mixers.
DJ equipment is made to be road-ready, professionally-cased, and loaded with features to ensure a very professional performance by your DJ. Backup equipment
is always on hand and ready to be used if needed. A DJ without a backup system isn't going to protect your investment. Will you be properly dressed for the occasion?
Weddings are our specialty and a tuxedo is a must unless you specify otherwise. The attire to be worn will be discussed prior to the event, and that may be formal or semi-formal, depending on your event.
Do you know proper etiquette and procedure for weddings?
Black Tie DJ Entertainment specializes in weddings and is constantly updated on new wedding etiquette and procedure through many media avenues and wedding
professionals. With our online planning, you have 24/7 access to create planning forms for your event with many details.
Are you registered and insured?
We carry liability insurance and are a registered business.
Will you allow music and planning requests?
Requests are welcome -- it is your event! When you reserve your date, you will
receive a personal Log In to our 24/7 online event planning, which includes custom request lists using our music database. This online planning also allows
you to create "do not play" lists, planning forms, event timelines, online payments, and much more!
How early will you be there to set up?
An average of 90 minutes is our standard for weddings to ensure that there are no last minute problems, and usually 60 minutes for other events. There is no charge for set up time.
Do you belong to any professional associations or trade groups?
Black Tie DJ Entertainment is a proud member of the American Disc Jockey
Association. An involved business person shows a willingness to learn, network and share ideas. Belonging to a professional association reflects a caring attitude.
When do you pay a DJ and should we pay a tip?
Once the deposit is made to reserve your date, payments may be made at anytime through PayPal or checks/money orders. Every time you make a new
payment, you will receive a receipt with the new "remaining balance." Final payments are due 7 days prior to the event. Tipping is common in the
entertainment field and is up to you. If you feel that you received a good price and a great performance, then it is always nice to say thank you.
When deciding on your DJ, make sure the answers to the above questions satisfy your needs.
